From April this year Phil is based in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, working with the X-Isle team at their centre as Senior Kitesurfing Instructor delivering courses from beginner to instructor level.

The Isle of Wight is a great place to work and play, with spectacular scenery and has amazing kite spots to suit all levels of experience. It benefits from a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an abundance of beaches which work for every wind direction.

X-Isle also have a center in Che Shale Kenya where they run courses for beginners through to instructors.

Phil started kitesurfing in 1999. By the end of the year he had set up Zero Gravity Kitesurfing on Hayling Island seafront.

In 2001, as well as the shop, he set up the Zero G Kite School which ran for seven years.

Phil was Chairman of the Hayling Kitesurfing Association from its conception in 2001 until 2007. Since 2004 he has been involved with the BKSA British Kitesurfing Association serving on the committee, first as membership secretary and currently as Vice Chairman.
